VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) -- The Board of Regents has approved new minors at two South Dakota public universities.
A minor in art history will be available as of this summer at the University of South Dakota. Officials say the course of study will help students do historical research in art and apply the information to professional development or future careers in museums, galleries, archives, libraries, publishing and other professions.
The South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is adding a minor in geospatial technology, effective this fall. Tech officials say students with the minor can show potential employers they have gotten substantial training in GPS, remote sensing and other geospatial techniques.
