VERMILLION, S.D. – Dave Boots, the head men’s basketball coach at The University of South Dakota, has announced that the Coyotes will play the University of Nebraska in the 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.
The first game is set for Nov. 12, 2010 at 7 p.m. in Lincoln, Neb. The second meeting will take place on Nov. 11, 2011 at 7 p.m. also in Lincoln, Neb.
Nebraska competes in the Big 12 Conference. The Cornhuskers finished 18-13 a year ago and qualified for the National Invitational Tournament. Nebraska finished 8-8 in the Big 12 Conference, which was just a game out of fourth place.
The Cornhuskers are coached by Doc Sadler, who has a 55-40 mark in three seasons at the school.
USD finished 20-9 in 2008-09 during its first year of transition to Division I status. It was USD’s sixth straight 20-win season and 15th overall under Boots.
