Relive horror scenes from “The Shining,” “Saw” and “The Grudge” in 10 horror-film-themed rooms at the Lamda Chi Alpha fraternity house Thursday.

Pi Beta Phi sorority is partnering with Lamda Chi Alpha for their sixth annual haunted house fundraiser from 7-11 p.m. Admittance is $5 or $3 with a canned food donation.

Proceeds and freewill donations will go to stage-four breast cancer survivor Wilma Lombardo, the aunt of a Phi Beta Phi member, said Trish Leibfarth, Phi Beta Phi philanthropy chair who is organizing the haunted house.

Last year they raised more than $1,500, Leibfarth said. Close to 90 members divided into teams to recreate the horror scenes.

“Halloween is a really fun holiday that university students love to celebrate,” she said. “We just get really excited for this each year.”

The first floor of the house, will be all fun and games and will have face painting and coloring. Children are invited to come dressed in costume and ready to get Trick-or-Treat candy, Leibfarth said.
